Site Preparation

Site work is the preparation of land for development such as clearing the land of debris, grading the land to create a level surface, and excavating trenches for utility lines. It involves creating a drainage system to prevent flooding and erosion.

We have “cut” many lots to prepare a flat surface for their foundation. This decreases the height of the foundation and in turn, saves money on foundation costs. It also allows for the opportunity of additional landscape features. Whether it be for a new custom home, a commercial building, a car dealership, or even a school.

Retaining walls can be used to increase the capacity of yards and driveways, or to direct drainage in a manner that benefits your land.

We can use limestone blocks, cut rock, natural stone, and railroad ties!

Drainage preparation is a commonly overlooked part of site preparation. When building on a hill,  water flow can be detrimental to your foundation if not accounted for. We have designed and built many water redirection features such as berms, trenches, and French drains. This will completely change the topography of your property to redirect water to a different area.
